Ashes to Ashes: The Scribing of Ishitar (Vol. II)

Ashes to Ashes was published on October 1, 2013.  I'm thinking about going on a blog tour so it's time to get this blog back up and running!  Dates and times to be announced when the tour is scheduled.

So much has happened since the last post!

Today I learned that Fall From Grace, the first book in the series, is a finalist in the Book of the Year contest sponsored by Foreword Reviews.  The book is 1 of 15 in the category of Fantasy, Adult Fiction.  Results will be announced at the end of June.

Wow.  A lot has happened since I last posted.

The book has been published and I've sold 11 copies!  Also, I've had two awesome review by readers.  Thanks to Brook Frunk and T. David Ramonstein.  I appreciate you both for taking the time.

Also, I've received my first review from a professional review company.  Though I think that those who bought the book and read it cover to cover got more out of it, but I got a good review, which I'll take.

I'm working on Book Two, which has the working title of "The Word Mispoken".  It won't answer all of the questions from book one, but it certainly should answer many!

For those who haven't seen it yet, here's the most recent cover!

Thank you Rania for the design.  It truly fits the story!

"He sat beside her open grave, staring at the palms of his hands.

They were dirty from his task and crusted with blood from the rocks within the earth which had scraped them. Though he knew it was past time for him return to face his punishment, he couldn't bear the thought of leaving her on this uninhabited world.

'As alone dead as you had ever been during your life.'

After he dug into the clay and stone of the ground, he gently wrapped her in his robes, laid her body into the soil and covered her with the earth.

He then allowed himself to weep before casting himself out to find a grave marker and a weed which bore a small white flower upon it which would grow over her to tell all creatures of any world where she lay.

Now, naked but for his small clothes, he rolled his eyes closed and then opened them so he could look up to the sky.

Another night at his Lady's side, he decided.

And who, honestly, would miss him?"
